At her highest weight of nearly 100 kg, Arpita was at her lowest state mentally. Upset every time she looked in the mirror, physically uncomfortable and only able to wear XL t-shirts, jumpers and tracksuits rather than her beloved dresses.

As a foodie, Arpita’s life well and truly revolved around food. Whenever she used to step out - catching up with friends, doing the groceries, or even just walking around the shopping centre - food was involved. Generally, junk food. Her portion control had also gone way off track - big servings of meat and carbohydrates, with negligible amounts of fruit and vegetables.
Everything came to a head during the COVID lockdowns. Arpita’s only pleasure outside of work was food and cooking.
Having grown up playing sport, something clicked in Arpita that the only person that could help her turn her life around was the one looking at her in the mirror.
As a food lover, Arpita turned to a program that would actually empower and support her to build healthier habits around food: the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet.

She is happy, confident, and full of joy being able to wear those dresses she had kept tucked away hoping to fit back into. Previously struggling to swim 500 metres, she can now swim non-stop for more than 2 km. Where she was once ashamed to admit that she couldn’t even do one push-up, she can now do 15-20 at a minimum.
