Georgina’s struggles with food were all too familiar - stress, poor food choices, a frequent reliance on takeout which she told herself was due to her busy lifestyle that made cooking and meal preparation impossible.
Everything came to a head during the COVID lockdowns. Prior to the pandemic, Georgina had been an international flight attendant. She was doing an average of 20,000 steps a shift and being physically active while on layovers.
However, when the planes ground to a halt, Georgina no longer had a job. Fighting to find a job, she turned to comfort eating. Finding a (sedentary) job and eating to deal with her unhappiness in the job, Georgina noticed her clothes were becoming increasingly tight.
